Tide Tidbits – August 28, 2008

Posted by BamaFootball4Life | Aug 28, 2008 | -

Bama looks for identity
Amidst the anticipation of potential freshman phenoms, an experienced senior quarterback, and what appears to be a wide open SEC West division, one goal has remained constant among the Alabama football team in regards to the first phase of this season.

The Clemson connection
It was a little over a year ago that Clemson University head football coach Tommy Bowden called his assistant head coach/receivers coach into his offense and asked his opinion about possibly opening the 2008 season against Alabama in Atlanta. Needless to say, Dabo Swinney was a little taken aback. The initial reaction was favorable, but for the first time he wouldn’t be rooting for his alma mater on a Saturday. 14 players, coaches have direct connection between the schools.

Roll Tide!
