Big recruiting weekend No. 2 for Alabama…
Nick Saban has followed one monster recruiting weekend with another slightly smaller but equally important one. We learn that five-star receiver Rueben Randle is in the house, surrounded by a batch of Crimson Tide commits. Here is the unofficial list of official visitors this weekend: WR Rueben Randle, LB Petey Smith, QB A.J. McCarron, LB Nico Johnson, LB Jonathan Atchison, DT Darrington Sentimore, OL Anthony Steen, OL Kellen Williams.
Lane Kiffin: Taking rivals’ best recruiters is “a great accomplishment.”
Say this for Tennessee coach Lane Kiffin: He seem intent on taking the status quo and busting it up with an axe. Or whatever. He’s not above tweaking, well, pretty much the entire Southeastern Conference. Listen to Kiffin sticking the knife in and turning it: “With the staff now complete, not only do we have the best recruiters in the SEC but some of the best in the country,” Kiffin said. “To be able to take South Carolina’s recruiting coordinator, Mississippi State’s recruiting coordinator, Alabama’s best recruiter and Auburn’s best recruiter over the past 10 years was a great accomplishment for us.”
Roll Tide!
