Saban asks pledges not to visit UT
Alabama coach Nick Saban has no problem with current Crimson Tide commitments visiting other campuses before National Signing Day on Feb. 4 – so long as that other school is not Tennessee. In the wake of former Alabama recruiter Lance Thompson’s abrupt departure last week for Tennessee, two blue-chip Alabama pledges from Thompson’s former recruiting area have cooled noticeably on the Vols. Golden opportunity
John Parker Wilson overacheived by becoming a three-year starter at the University of Alabama, setting school records for passing yards and passing touchdowns along the way. The Hoover native surprised his critics by directing the Crimson Tide to an undefeated season as a senior, taking Alabama to a No. 1 national raking for the first time in nearly three decades.

PLAYERS GET LAST CHANCE TO SHINE
After a week of workouts, it all comes down to this: Tonight’s Under Armour Senior Bowl, the last chance to shine. Dispute might have helped lead to Willis’ leaving
Nearly two weeks elapsed between the evening linebackers coach James Willis cleaned out his Auburn office and the day he started moving back in. That absence, and a dispute over whether it makes Willis eligible for severance pay, may have played at least some role in his stunning decision to leave his alma mater for a position at Alabama earlier this week, sources familiar with the situation told the Press-Register Friday.
