Recruiting: Tide already looking at 2010 recruiting class
The University of Alabama football coaching staff has hosted big weekends of official visitors during the month of January, but this weekend will bring in just one lone visitor making an official visit for the final weekend before next week’s National Signing Day. On the other hand, Alabama is expected to host several of next year’s top prospects on unofficial visits. Several elite prospects are expected for Alabama’s first Junior Day this weekend as well.

Recruiting: Tide tries to stack recruiting class
With only five days left until national signing day, Alabama’s 2009 class is shaping up to be very strong and has the potential to be among the school’s best ever. Alabama potentially could ink six five-star recruits and nine four-star recruits if everything falls into place. The Tide currently sits at No. 5 on Rivals.com and No. 9 on Scout.com, but both numbers could change dramatically after what takes place Wednesday.

Sports Soundoff
Willis move similar to Oliver — I don’t know why Auburn people are griping because James Willis left Auburn for Alabama. Remember, Auburn hired Bill Oliver away from Alabama, so what’s the difference? The man needed another job so he got one.

ANDREW BONE: Recruiting chat transcript
Wogs: What are your feelings on TR? Andrew Bone: Florida is really coming on strong, but I think Alabama will keeps him.

Fulmer turns TV analyst for signing day
Anyone else see the humor in Phillip Fulmer being a talking head next Wednesday on National Signing Day? Alabama fans have certainly felt the eyes of the former Tennessee coach on the Crimson Tide’s recruiting. Now he’s going to be an “expert” on CBS College Sports Network on NSD.

Roll Tide!
