Tide lands 1st 2010 football commitment
The Crimson Tide landed the first commitment of next year’s recruiting class from Memphis receiver Keiwone Malone. The 6-foot-1, 170-pound Tennessee speedster chose the Tide over reported offers from Auburn, Duke, Georgia, Ole Miss, North Carolina and Tennessee. “Alabama has been recruiting me for a long time,” Malone told tiderinsider.com. “Coach (Nick) Saban came by my school last week. I love Coach Saban. I love the SEC. I want to play in the SEC. I want the opportunity to play in the best conference in college football and to play under Nick Saban. Other similar articles:
Lane Kiffin: Quick Thoughts and Observations
By now, anyone who follows college football knows about Lane Kiffin’s recent tirade. Most people believe Kiffin will grow out of this type behavior after he hits puberty, but I’m not so sure. I see Kiffin’s recent rant as an inevitable sign of the implosion to come. Kiffin accomplished nothing more that putting a bullseye on his back.
Les Miles: Great Recruiter, Terrible Coach?
How do LSU fans really feel about Les Miles? How do they feel about a coach that is a great recruiter, but is not considered a great coach? Sure, LSU fans love the players Miles has been able to bring to LSU, but his ability as a big time college football coach on game day is questionable to say the least. Some feel that Les Miles would have always been an average coach had he not lucked into the LSU job. They say he just happened to be in the right place at the right time.
Roll Tide!

I would like to apolagize if my comment yesterday about the Randle/Richardson recruiting situation was taken negatively toward Randle. He is a top quality athlete and LSU is fortunate to have him. My over-exuberant expression of delight for the recruits that committed to us may have been taken as slicing insults to recruits that didn’t. I am a hardcore BAMA fan and Im just so proud of the recruits that we landed. The UA athletic department has exceded expectations again this year and the TIDE is most definetely ROLLING. Everybody there deserves a raise.
When will serious discussions about the Hokies start being posted. That game will tell us alot. They will be a formidable advesary. I am insanely anticipating that game. This waiting stuff is killing me.
