Not a Typical Spring for Alabama Football This Year
Instead of worrying about taking care of business this year against the many foes that have beaten them, the Crimson Tide can concentrate of winning titles again. “Last year was a great year for our team, our school and our fans,” Saban said. “We put the program back into contention for more than just wins. Now we take the next step and start finishing the season in such a way that we contend for titles.”
Greg McElroy ready to leave legacy as next Alabama quarterback
To gear up for the most significant weeks of his college football career to date, quarterback Greg McElroy got far, far away. McElroy spent spring break on a cruise with his family. Of the questions surrounding the Crimson Tide this spring, none are bigger than quarterback. Alabama Spring Camp Preview: Players to Watch on Defense
After looking at some of the questions hanging over the offensive side of the ball this spring, the overview of the defense is much simpler. Yet, even with so much experience returning, there are still a few areas of interest…a lot of interest when taking into account that the leader of last year’s defense, Rashad Johnson, looks to play on Sundays this fall. Who fills the role vacated by Rashad’s graduation?
Montana Wants to Check Out Bama
Nick Montana has definitely come a long way in a short time. Just a few years ago, he was languishing at national powerhouse De La Salle (Concord, Calif.) in an offense that didn’t fit him. Now the Oaks Christian (Westlake Village, Calif.) rising senior is one of the most heavily recruited quarterbacks in the nation. “I’m still very open right now and have a lot more visits to take,” Montana said. “I want to check out Alabama, Arizona, Georgia and Florida State but haven’t set dates with them yet.”
