Tuesday’s Top Ten: Top Ten Worst Questions To Ask Coach Saban During A Spring Press Conference
Two practices. Two tar-and-feathered questions. Two Nick Saban rants. So what will be the next question to boil Saban’s blood and invoke a sharp-tongued monologue? We’ve got an idea. Here then are the Top Ten Worst Questions To Ask Coach Saban During A Spring Press Conference:

Alabama coach Nick Saban talks about building a house…
“You know, when you build a house and you make it hurricane proof — putting certain kind of windows in it and building cement instead of stick construction — you’re getting prepared for what?” Saban asked. “A hurricane that may or may not ever come. We’re going to have 12 hurricanes next year — we know they’re coming,” Saban said, not even including a possible December, um, storm and maybe a January one. “So it seems like we ought to be able to get prepared and do the things we need to do to be ready for what’s going to happen then.”

Alabama football team tests out new twist on defense at spring practice
Alabama linebacker Brandon Fanney’s continued absence from spring practice on Monday — due to a violation of team rules — allowed the Crimson Tide the chance to experiment ever so slightly within the framework of its 3-4 defensive scheme. Saban estimates that six or seven linebackers already have practiced at different spots including Jerrell Harris, who has moved inside for spring practice after working on the outside last year.

Next in line
Alabama quarterback Greg McElroy has been here before. Not on a physical sense, even though he’s already been at the Capstone for three years, but mentally and emotionally. Just like how he was John Parker Wilson’s understudy, waiting for his chance to quarterback the Crimson Tide, he did the same exact thing in high school in Texas. And that worked out pretty well for him.

Saban visits to congratulate SEC champions
Fresh off winning its sixth SEC championship, the University of Alabama gymnastics team had a surprise visitor at practice Tuesday, sort of in the same spirit of when Super Bowl and World Series champions get the phone call from the president. Only no one had any idea that Nick Saban was showing up until he walked in and offered congratulations. ‘They were awe-struck,’ coach Sarah Patterson said. ‘He was really, really good with them.’

Springtime Reflections. It’s Football In Tuscaloosa!
Spring 2009. The sun rises up over Bryant-Denny. There is still excitement in the air as the 2009 Tide players take the practice field of dreams to begin another journey on the road that is SEC Football. Like so many days in early Spring the Coach steps out and orchestrates the dance. It is a new beginning for seasoned players, it is the first day of College Football practice for the true freshman. It is the smell of clover scented grass, the sounds of the Million-Dollar-Band practicing, preparing for the A-Day game. It is the life force of early Spring in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.

Roll Tide!
