
Tide staff to tinker with several positions at first spring scrimmage

Chris Lett is trying to make a go of it at South Alabama after a diabetic condition ended his playing days early with the Crimson Tide. He left the squad for good last spring and was ready to give up the sport. “It was kind of me and the trainers, we sat down and talked and figured out what was best. We didn’t want to keep going and have something big end up happening,” Lett said. “It felt pretty bad. I wanted to be a part of the team.”
