Former Crimson Tide Star Coming To Fairhope
Former University of Alabama wide receiver Tyrone Prothro will be in Fairhope on Saturday. He’s signing copies of his new book Catch & Hold, Five Keys to Strength, Success, and Secure Happiness at Page & Palette. In 2005, Prothro made what is considered one of the greatest catches in college football history. Prothro caught the ball behind the head of Southern Mississippi’s Jasper Faulk on a Hail Mary pass from Brodie Croyle right before half-time. He won the ESPY play of the year award and the Pontiac Game Changing Moment award of the year. Two weeks after making what’s now known as ‘The Catch’, Prothro suffered a complete fracture of both bones in his lower left leg against the Florida Gators. [More]
