Jabriel Washington and Alabama a perfect match

Posted by BamaFootball4Life | Jul 3, 2010 | -

Jabriel Washington and Alabama seem like a perfect match. The 6-foot, 170-pound athlete from Trinity Christian Academy in Jackson has been committed to the Crimson Tide since April. Washington, who is the state’s fourth-best prospect according to the News Sentinel, gave his pledge after attending Alabama’s spring game on April 17. “No other schools could top it after seeing all those things,” Washington told the News Sentinel at the time. That’s why Washington pulled the trigger so quickly. He could have waited. Washington has offers from schools all over the country, including Auburn, LSU, Ohio State, Michigan, Notre Dame and Southern California. They couldn’t match up to Alabama. [More]

The fund was set up by current Crimson Tide defensive coordinator Kirby Smart and Northridge head coach Mike Smith. [More]

2010 College Football Predictions – 2011 BCS Odds

Alabama has not lost a regular season game in two years and have a good chance of repeating as National Champions. Inexperience and a brutal schedule stand in the way of a consecutive title but this roster has been completely reloaded and returns Heisman Trophy winner Mark Ingram and starting QB Greg McElroy. Nick Saban has the formula for beating the brakes off opponents and this team will be in another major BCS game. Our College Football Picks staff is forecasting a two loss season for this supremely talented but wet behind the ears Tide squad. Alabama’s offense will be potent with the best running attack in the country led by Heisman Trophy winner Mark Ingram. Ingram will do his thing behind an experienced O-line that opens mammoth holes. The passing game will also be very-strong with poised and accurate QB Greg McElroy in command. McElroy has only average arm-strength but he has one of the best receiving corps in the country with a true difference maker in WR Julio Jones. This offense should rank in the top-5 in scoring.
